Keitech Paddlin' Beaver

The Keitech Paddlin' Beaver is a 3.5-inch beaver-style soft bait with a paddle tail, which Keitech calls a third-generation paddle-tail grub, designed for flipping and pitching cover. The wide, thick and heavy tail moves water and shows its presence even on a free fall, and its weight shifts the balance rearward so the bait casts well. The tail joins the body through a thin, flexible hinge and is offset upward, so it flexes up and down on the fall and also swings side to side when the bait is shaken. A flattened body adds a sliding fall.

A point guard on the back hides the hook point and marks where to bring it out, a shallow slit in the belly lets the hook seat straight, and a bump on the chin helps the rig climb over branches and reeds without the hook bend catching.
