Bass Mafia Custom Balsa Squarebill Crankbait

The Bass Mafia Custom Balsa Squarebill is a shallow-water crankbait carved from balsa wood, made for pressured fish that ignore plastic baits. Balsa is very buoyant, so the bait has a lively, erratic hunting action and pops up and away from stumps and rocks when it deflects, much like a fleeing baitfish. It runs silent, which makes it a good change-up where fish have seen plenty of rattling cranks. It comes in two body styles: a flat-sided version and a rounder squarebill.

• Body: balsa wood with a multi-coat finish
• Lip: circuit-board squarebill lip that starts working right away on the retrieve
• Action: tight, silent (no rattles), deflects off cover
• Body styles: Flat (flat-sided) and Round
• Hooks: two treble hooks
