The Burtek Tackle Crankin Bug 4.0 started out as a flipping and punching bait, but in testing Burtek found it also works as a slow-rolled bait that sits between a bladed jig and a flipping bait. Wound slowly on a light Texas rig around cover, it rolls onto its side and every few feet rights itself again, an odd action that can turn followers into biters when bass are pressured. It also serves as a trailer for swim jigs and bladed jigs.

  • Length: 4 in

  • Suggested slow-roll setup: 3/16 to 5/16 oz Texas rig
