The Keitech Flex Chunk is a soft-plastic chunk trailer designed to copy the lingering action of a pork trailer on a jig. When the jig lands, the skirt flares first and the two thick, leaf-shaped legs settle a moment later. A flexible hinge where the legs meet the body lets them react to the smallest movement of the jig and push plenty of water.
The plastic is soft enough that bass hold on, with a little salt added so it sinks slowly, and it is flavored with natural squid. Keitech recommends threading the chunk onto the hook through the body, as on a jighead, rather than hooking just the nose; that keeps it on the hook longer and passes the jig's movement to the legs. The legs are joined at the tip by a small factory tab to stop them warping in the pack; pull them apart by hand before fishing.
