The PH Custom Lures Hickey P is a flat-sided balsa crankbait modeled on the classic Zoom WEC Hicky. Its circuit-board bill runs it 2 to 4 feet deep and lets it deflect off laydowns, stumps and boulders without snagging as easily as a plastic crankbait. It has a fast, tight wobble with a lot of vibration for its size; it shines in the fall when shad move back to the bank but catches shallow bass year-round. Each bait is hand-painted and tank-tested.
